1. Introduction
Dignix ("we", "us", or "our") operates Macro Lift (also called MacroLift) and macrolift.dignix.in (the "Services"). This policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
Using the Services does not turn on optional analytics, crash reporting, account usage reporting, or health access. These features have separate controls and, where applicable, device permission prompts.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: Your email address, display name, account identifier, verification and account status, preferences, and records of accepting our legal documents. Firebase Authentication handles your sign-in credentials; passwords are not stored as plain text in your profile. Authentication records include your latest sign-in time, independently of optional usage reporting.
- Profile and fitness information: Details you provide such as age, gender, height, current and target weight, training goals, experience, equipment access, limitations, and unit preferences. We also store workout programs and schedules, exercise logs, sets, repetitions, weights, workout history, nutrition and hydration logs, and recovery check-ins that you enter.
- Connected health information: With permission, we read steps and active energy burned from Apple Health or Health Connect, and total calories burned from Health Connect on Android. We use these readings for daily activity totals and energy estimates, and store synced daily totals with your MacroLift account. This integration is read-only; it does not write health records.
- Optional analytics and crash diagnostics: Analytics and crash reporting are separate settings, both off by default. When enabled, Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics may process app interactions, device and operating-system information, app-instance or installation identifiers, and diagnostic or crash information. We do not assign your MacroLift account ID to these services. This does not mean that their technical identifiers are entirely anonymous.
- Optional account usage reporting: A separate "Account usage reporting" setting is off by default. If you enable it, we collect account-linked last activity, approximate time spent while the app is in the foreground, screen visits, and time spent on supported screens. Authorized administrators can use these reports to understand app usage and improve the service. These reports do not include workout values, food entries, typed text, precise location, or recordings of your screen. Time spent in other apps or while MacroLift is in the background is not counted.
- Reminders: If you grant notification permission, the app schedules local reminders using your reminder preferences, goals, and recent logging status.
- Website and support: Your browser stores your light/dark theme preference locally. Website requests expose technical information such as your IP address and browser information to the hosting infrastructure. If you contact us, we receive the contact details and message you send.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the app: Maintain your profile and logs, assign workout programs, calculate fitness and nutrition estimates, display progress, and synchronize your account across devices.
- Operate and secure accounts: Authenticate users, enforce account status and access permissions, respond to support requests, and process account deletion.
- Save edits and support offline use: Profile changes save automatically after a short delay; switches and selections save promptly. The app maintains an encrypted recent-data cache and uses Firebase offline persistence and queued writes where available. Some features require a connection, and synchronization can be delayed or fail.
- Optional improvements: Use the analytics, crash diagnostics, or account usage reports you separately enable to understand feature use and reliability. Enabling one reporting setting does not enable the others.
- Optional health features and reminders: Display connected activity totals and schedule the reminders you choose. We do not use Apple Health or Health Connect data for advertising, marketing, sale to data brokers, or credit or insurance decisions.
4. Service Providers and Access
We do not sell or rent your personal information or share health data with advertisers. We use service providers to operate the Services:
- Google Firebase: Authentication for sign-in; Firestore and Cloud Functions for account data and backend processing; Cloud Storage for exercise media; App Check for app verification; and Analytics and Crashlytics when their respective settings are enabled. - Apple Health and Google Health Connect: Access is controlled by your device permissions. You may revoke it through device settings. Previously synced MacroLift records are managed separately as explained below.
- Authorized administrators: Access to account-linked usage reports is restricted by backend authorization. These reports are not public and are not available to other users.
Service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or to address fraud, security incidents, or protect legal rights.
5. Retention, Deletion, and Your Choices
- Account and fitness records: We retain these records while needed to provide your account and the Services. You can update your profile in the app or contact us about access, correction, or deletion.
- Usage retention: Individual account usage sessions are scheduled to expire after 90 days. Automatic cleanup is asynchronous, so removal may occur after the expiry time. Account-linked aggregate usage totals and last-activity information remain until account deletion. Turning reporting off stops further reporting; it does not erase reports already received.
- Reporting choices: In Profile, you can separately turn off analytics, crash reporting, and account usage reporting. Core workout and nutrition tracking remain available without these optional settings. Data already received by analytics and diagnostics providers follows their retention and deletion processes.
- Health and notification choices: Revoke Apple Health, Health Connect, or notification permissions in your device settings. You can also adjust reminder preferences in the app. Revoking health access stops new access but does not automatically remove previously synced daily totals from MacroLift; contact us to request their deletion or delete your account.
- Delete your account: Use "Delete Account" in Profile. A recent sign-in may be required to confirm your identity. You can also request deletion by emailing info@dignix.in from your registered email address; we may verify ownership before acting. Account deletion removes your account and associated profile, workout, nutrition, hydration, and synced activity records from the live service, and triggers deletion of account usage summaries and session history. Backend cleanup may complete asynchronously.
- Uninstalling: Removing the app alone does not delete your cloud account. Technical logs, provider backups, and information that must be retained to meet applicable legal obligations may follow separate retention schedules.
6. Data Security
We use access controls and HTTPS/TLS for communication with our backend. The app also maintains an encrypted recent-data cache on your device. These safeguards do not mean that all device storage is encrypted by the app or that any system is completely secure. Protect your device and account credentials, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Children's Privacy
The Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact info@dignix.in so we can investigate and arrange deletion. Where local law requires a higher age or parental authorization, those requirements also apply.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our features or data practices change. We will update the "Last Updated" date and provide additional notice or request consent where required. Publishing an updated policy does not switch on optional reporting or grant health permissions.
